The Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy is the regulatory and legislative agency which has responsibility for all matters relating to minerals, petroleum, industry and energy supplies. All enquiries relating to Exploration Licensing should be directed to the National Director of GEPetrol, the national oil company.

The Ministry is headed by H.E. Atanasio Ela Ntugu, the Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy, H.E. Gabriel Nguema Lima, the Vice Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy, and H.E. Francisco Mabale, the Secretary of State for Energy.

The executive functions in the Ministry are headed by Iltmo D. Santiago Mba Andeme, the Secretary General, Iltmo. D. Miguel-Angel Ondo Angue, the Director General of Mines and Quarries, Iltmo D. Diosdado Engono Bengono, the Director General of Hydrocarbons, Iltmo D. Elias Obiang Esono, the Director General of Industry, and Iltmo. D. Juan Nguema Nze, the Director General of Energy.
